Introduction
Card Ink · Gold & Silver Series is a decorative ink producing metallic gold, silver and antique-bronze effects for local accents or larger decorative areas on cards and packaging. Compared with hot stamping foil, it forms in one printing pass — simpler and cheaper — and can produce gradients and halftones for fine detail.

- Single-pass forming, cheaper than hot stamping
- Design freedom: gradients, halftones and fine lines
- Abrasion resistant; a UV varnish keeps the gloss long-lasting

Frequently Asked Questions
Selection, detection, printing and ordering — answered.
What finish do gold and silver inks produce?
They give a metallic gold, silver or antique-bronze appearance with a mirror-like reflective quality, suitable for local accents or larger decorative areas, noticeably raising card quality and visual impact.
What are the advantages over hot stamping foil?
Gold/silver ink is printed in a single pass — simpler and cheaper than hot stamping — and can produce gradients and halftones. Its brilliance and metallic depth are slightly below true hot-stamp foil. Choose by design budget and effect requirement.
Which process do you recommend?
Mainly screen and pad printing, especially for small local areas on cards; a UV varnish top coat can be added for better abrasion resistance and lasting gloss.
What are typical applications?
Decorating bank and membership cards, gift and collectible cards, gold/silver marks on security cards, accents on premium packaging, and metallic effects on labels and hang tags.
Will rubbing wear off the metallic effect?
Once fully cured adhesion is good and rub resistance is strong. We recommend adding a protective varnish on the finished part, and can supply test samples to verify rub resistance and gloss retention. Free printed proofs are available.
