SJH UV invisible ink (yellow): colorless in daylight, reveals bright yellow fluorescence under UV lamp.
UV invisible ink (UV fluorescent ink) is the most widely used anti-counterfeit ink. This guide explains its principle and applications.
What It Is
Fluorescent compounds dispersed in eco-friendly resin; colorless in normal light, glows red/green/blue/yellow under 254nm or 365nm UV, fading instantly when the light source is removed.
SJH Ink manufactures UV invisible ink with free printed proofs. Tel 13510998453, www.sjhink.com.
Frequently Asked Questions
Selection, detection, printing and ordering — answered.
What is UV invisible ink?
Also called UV fluorescent ink or covert security ink, it is a specialty printing material made by dispersing fluorescent compounds evenly in an eco-friendly resin system. It is colourless or lightly tinted in daylight and fluoresces red, green, blue or yellow the instant it is excited by 254 nm short-wave or 365 nm long-wave UV, fading as soon as the light is removed.
What is special about dual-wavelength UV invisible ink?
A standard grade responds to one wavelength. The dual-wavelength grade shows different colours under long-wave and short-wave UV, which layers a second verification logic onto the same print and raises the counterfeiting threshold significantly.
What are the core performance points of UV invisible ink?
Five: strong concealment, invisible under normal light; easy detection with a banknote detector or UV torch in seconds; good heat and weather resistance after printing; wide process compatibility across offset, screen, flexo, gravure and inkjet; and a broad substrate range including paper, ceramics, plastic, metal, glass and textiles.
Where is UV invisible ink typically used?
Financial tickets, document security, spirits, tobacco and cosmetics packaging, security labels, logistics documents, and covert brand identity codes.
Can UV invisible ink be customised?
Yes. Fluorescence colour (red/yellow/green/blue), excitation wavelength and identity-code schemes can all be tailored, and printed proofs can be supplied for a press trial before bulk ordering.
